Felix Kroll is intensively committed to the accordion with its diverse possibilities in the most varied artistic fields. After training in Bremen, Turku (Finland) and Münster, he began teaching accordion at the Udk Berlin in 2017.
Stylistically, he ranges between works of contemporary music, classical music and jazz. With the successful group “Die Grenzgänger”, he presents German-language folk songs in modern and colourful arrangements. As a member of the RADAR Ensemble and other projects, he has already premiered a number of works and has worked with composers such as Rebecca Saunders, Younghi Pagh-Paan, Beat Furrer, Helmut Oehring, Georg Katzer, Sidney Corbett and others.
With this musical range, Felix Kroll is also a renowned theater musician and artistic director – for example at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden under the direction of Uwe Eric Laufenberg and Ingo Kerkhof. His stage appearances are complemented by intensive collaboration with actresses such as Corinna Harfouch, Dagmar Manzel and Winnie Böwe in readings and recitals. He is also a frequent guest performer with various orchestras and ensembles (Staatskapelle Berlin, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, Filmorchester Babelsberg, Staatsoper Hamburg…).
Multiple television and radio recordings – numerous CD productions, which have received awards including the “Deutscher Schallplattenpreis”, document his work.
